Ken Bell and Friends at the Bear Foot Burger House

Updated March 28

What do you get when you mix country-western music, burgers, Chinese food and people laughing, tapping their toes and doing the two-step?

You get Friday evenings at the Bear Foot Burger House on the Trans-Canada Highway with Ken Bell and Friends.

Ken Bell and Friends is more than just the house band made up of Ken Bell on guitar and vocals, Eileen White on guitar and vocals, Reno Jack on  bass and vocals and Dave Favell on guitar and, you guessed it, vocals.

Most of the “regulars” who come out each Friday evening are friends – both  of Bell and each other. Once the music starts, it doesn’t take long for audience members to get up and start dancing in the aisles. Some even get up on stage to do guest performances.

Bell and the band, who have, as they put it, more years of playing and performing between them than they care to count, say that they play at the Bear Foot Burger House “for the pure, simple love of the music.”

Sam Kwok, who owns and operates the Bear Foot says he enjoys the music – when he’s not busy rushing around trying to get food orders ready.

But more than anything else, he says he just likes seeing all the people having fun and enjoying themselves.
