A semi-truck driver took to social media on April 9, to report falling rocks from Highway 1 onto the roadway.

A large rock fell from the mountainside in the Three Valley Gap area and came crashing down onto the front grille of the truck.

It was a close call for the driver as the rock smashed through the grille just missing the cab of the truck.

Debris scattered the Trans-Canada following the incident, that appeared to happen in dark and wet conditions. It’s unclear if the truck had to be towed from the area.

However, the driver posted their photos to Skilled Truckers Canada on Facebook as a warning to others coming through Three Valley Gap to watch for falling rocks.
