Salmon Arm's agricultural committee formed
The City of Salmon Arm’s new agricultural advisory committee has sprouted from an idea to reality.
On Monday, council appointed six members of the public to the committee. Chosen were: James Hanna, Rob Fensom, Don Syme, Richard Bell, John McLeod and James Olafson. They will serve a two-year term.
They join Coun. Ken Jamieson, council representative on the committee, who will serve as chair. The committee includes seven voting members – the six public representatives chosen plus the council rep, as well as three non-voting members from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Salmon Arm Economic Development Society and a member of city staff.
