Close call in Silver Creek

When he smelled smoke while driving Tuesday afternoon, Silver Creek resident Dan Howden pulled his 2002 three-quarter ton Dodge diesel pickup over to the side of Salmon Valley Road. Flames quickly erupted and Howden suffered burns to his right arm when he tried to get items from the truck bed. Seven members of Silver Creek Volunteer Firehall responded and extinguished the blaze.

When he smelled smoke while driving Tuesday afternoon, Silver Creek resident Dan Howden pulled his 2002 three-quarter ton Dodge diesel pickup over to the side of Salmon Valley Road.

Flames quickly erupted and Howden suffered burns to his right arm when he tried to get items from the truck bed.

Seven members of Silver Creek Volunteer Firehall responded and extinguished the blaze.
