Chase ER closed Monday and Tuesday
A lack of physicians has caused Interior Health to temporarily close the emergency department at the Chase Health Centre Monday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 26.
Other services at the Health Centre will be available as usual.
"There is the potential that the emergency department could reopen on March 26," in which case residents will be advised, notes a late Friday afternoon press release from Interior Health.
Emergency pepartment services normally operate Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the hours the emergency department is closed, residents are advised to take note of the following options:
- In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
- For non-urgent matters, residents may wish to use the emergency departments or walk-in clinics
in Kamloops or Salmon Arm.
- If individuals are unsure about what services they require, call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1. The toll-free line provides 24-hour, confidential health information and advice from a registered nurse.
