Logging truck puts lights out for 800

It was light's out for some 800 Salmon Valley BC Hydro customers Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The utility reports the four-hour outage that started shortly after 5 p.m. was the result of a logging truck hitting a power line on Yankee Flats Road.

Hydro crews went to the location in question but did not find any damage, so they patrolled the length of the line south to Highway 97 to ensure it was safe before the lines were re-energized.
