United Way campaign benefits Shuswap residents
When Fall is in the air, it means the United Way Campaign has started.
In the Shuswap, North Okanagan and the Columbia regions it is time to start the work of raising funds to help our community partners in each region sustain the necessary programs that make our community a better place for everyone to live.
United Way believes in building strong communities by ensuring our kids are healthy and ready to start school, that youth are engaged in their communities, that seniors can live independently for as long as possible, and those with challenges receive the support they need.
“Our financial goal for this year is $300,000 which reflects the genuine need for services in our communities.” said Linda Yule of United Way North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap.
“The United Way Campaign is about more than fundraising. It’s about a vision for a community where everyone can live a good quality life. It’s about working together for the common good.”
