Charges laid in fatal crash

Criminal charges have now been laid in connection with a fatal collision that occurred on Highway 97 south of Vernon on March 31, 2013.

A northbound pickup truck collided head-on with a southbound station wagon. The crash resulted in the deaths of the passenger in the truck, 19-year old Eric Robertson of Armstrong, and both occupants of the station wagon, 70-year old Allan Allport and his wife, 67-year old Fay Allport of Salmon Arm.

Brandon McGregor, 22, of Spallumcheen has been charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death. He will appear in Vernon Court May 1.
