Deer goes through windshield

On June 28, RCMP responded to a motor-vehicle incident on the Trans-Canada Highway in Blind Bay. The driver of a Toyota Corolla struck a deer crossing the highway. A portion of the deer penetrated the windshield, entering the cabin of the vehicle and striking the driver. The resident of Victoria was able to maintain control of his vehicle and pull over to the side of the highway. He received only minor injuries.
