The provincial government has added new webcams around the province

Over the course of 2016, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has boosted the DriveBC highway camera network by adding 43 new webcams and 108 new webcam views.

One of the new cameras is at Hoffman’s Bluff on the Trans-Canada Highway, three kilometres east of Pritchard (elevation: 349 metres). This camera is located on the busy highway and provides motorists with a good image of conditions along the Thompson River. Go to: http://images.drivebc.ca/bchighwaycam/pub/html/www/719.html

“Before hitting the road, we encourage drivers to check DriveBC for the most up-to-date information on road and weather conditions for their route, in order to plan for a safe trip and avoid delays,” said Todd Stone, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. “These new webcams will bring the total to over 680 highway webcam views at 365 locations throughout our beautiful province, to help all motorists plan ahead, whether they are commuting to work or out exploring the wonderful sites that B.C. has to offer.”
