SABNES says steam along foreshore no cause for concern

The Salmon Arm Bay Nature Enhancement Society (SABNES) are telling the public not to worry if they see steam coming up from the ground along the foreshore trail for the next few days.

The plumes of steam are related to the re-lining of the foreshore sewer pipe which is currently taking place.

The liner requires steam to seal it to the existing pipe.

SABNES have been working on a habitat improvement project alongside the sewer pipe re-lining project.

SABNES say the steam is expected to continue for a few more days as the work proceeds from Raven to the sewage treatment plant.
