Skilled-trades students in the North Okanagan-Shuswap School District will benefit from provincial funding.

The district is receiving $398,527 over the next three years to purchase equipment, including routers, sanders and jointers, in addition to automotive equipment.

“The almost $400,000 will be spent on technology and trades-based tools and equipment that will benefit students from kindergarten to Grade 12,” said Mark Marino, district career supervisor.

“We have an amazing group of innovative and professional teachers that are ready and willing to put the tools and equipment to good use in their classrooms in awareness, engagement and experiential activities.”
