With great sorrow we announce that Beverly Vera Daniels passed away peacefully with family and staff by her side at Piccadilly Care Centre on Thursday, August 20th. After a lengthy and courageous battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Bev succumbed to her illness at the age of 64. Relieved that her suffering is over, her family is deeply saddened by the gaping hole her passing has left behind. Although this will ease as time goes on, for now our hearts ache in her absence.
Bev was a generous, no-nonsense woman who had a cheeky sense of humor and a mischievous spirit. She loved to make others laugh. She was a compassionate friend. Remembered fondly will be the colorful stories she liked to tell, her unique ability to find the humor amidst life’s most difficult moments, and of course, for always putting others first.
She proudly raised three children, instilling in them a sense of humility and generosity. A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by her sons Rick and Leroy (Trish), her daughter Cherie and her cherished grandson Kalen. Bev’s brothers, sisters and friends were a continued source of joy and support throughout her entire life’s journey.
The family wishes to acknowledge the loving and compassionate care provided by the staff at Piccadilly Care Centre, where Bev lived the last two years of her life. As well, a special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Pioneer Lodge, the Shuswap Lake Hospital and to Dr. Duplessi and Dr. Newell. A warm thanks to the many kind and dedicated health care workers, family, and friends who cared for Bev over the years and especially to those who supported her in her final year of life.
In lieu of flowers, to continue the quest for a cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis and in memory of Bev, donations can be made to The Arthritis Society. As per Bev’s wishes no service will be held. Condolences and memories may be shared through www.fischersfuneralservices.com.
