Brenda is survived by her two children Brittany Ann Lawrence and Cody Douglas Lawrence, her mother Mikki Lawrence and father Douglas Lawrence (Sorrento), four sisters Cheryl Baines (Salmon Arm), Crystal Lawrence (Prince George), Cindy Pye (Mission), Lisa McColl (Surrey), her grandfather Andy Corden (Hixon), grandmother Pauline Thun (Prince George), aunt Elaine (Hinton, AB), uncle Cam (Prince George), uncle Jay (Campbell River), many cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Brenda was a friend to many; she opened her heart and home to all. She will be sadly missed by all who had the good fortune to meet her.

Brenda was born in New Westminster, BC and lived in many places throughout her life. She always believed home is where the heart is.

Brenda passed away with her family by her side at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and all who cared for Brenda in her last hours. Also, thank you to all who gave us comfort then and continue to give us comfort now.

There will be no service by request.

Brenda was cremated. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held in the spring of 2011 when all her family can attend as well as friends who wish to share good memories of one we loved so much. A notice will be in the paper in the spring.

Memorial donations in Brenda’s name may be made to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, 4480 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, V6H 3V4.
