DARWIN W. PEDERSEN

1931-2008

Darwin W. Pedersen of Medicine Hat, passed away at Riverview Care Centre on October 2, 2008, at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his loving family of two sons, Darrell (Cindi) and Rick (Marina) Pedersen and his daughter, Tanya Parkinson; his grandchildren, Aaron, Bronwyn, Tannis, Carmen, Naomi, Joel, Cole and Madison. He was predeceased by his son, Brian, his parents, Wendell and Zelda, and two brothers, Leonard and Willis. Darwin was born in Robsart, Saskatchewan, on June 6, 1931. After farming in Robsart, he worked as a nursing orderly at the Colonel Belcher Hospital in Calgary and later at the Shuswap General Hospital in Salmon Arm. Darwin also assisted at the Bowers Funeral Home. He had a passion for horses and had the honour of riding in the Calgary Stampede parade. Darwin enjoyed getting together with family and friends. The family wish to extend a special thank you to the Riverview Care Centre staff who looked after him. Darwin’s family will honour his memory through a private gathering.
