Euphemia Elizabeth ‘Fem’ Mantler passed away suddenly at the age of 76 on July 16, 2008 at Ridgewood Lodge in Princeton, BC. Fem was born in Holland on March 29, 1932.

She will be lovingly missed by 2 daughters: Betty (Kelly) Smith of Abbotsford, BC and Mary Joan Sol of Princeton; 2 sons: John (Ivy) Sol of Kelowna and Gary (Anita) Sol of Westbank; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Edwin Avis in 2004.

Fem looked after foster children for 30 years. In the last 12 active years of her life she would snowbird to Big River, California, and in the summers operated a campground with Ed in Salmon Arm. Fem loved to travel and play Bingo.
