Gerald Allan Sholinder passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre, Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the age of 52 years, following a short illness.
Born in Smithers, BC on December 18, 1955, he lived there until 1971 when the family moved to Vermillion, Alberta. In 1972, the Sholinder family moved to Salmon Arm where Jerry completed his education. Jerry had lived and worked in Calgary since 1984.
Jerry is survived by his son, Justin (Sarah) and three grandchildren, Joseph, Emily and Rachel, all of Winnipeg; mother and father, Kay and Fay Sholinder of Salmon Arm; two sisters, Joan Sholinder of Salmon Arm and Hanna Forsythe of Hazelton, BC; two brothers, Murray (Cindy) of Salmon Arm and Blaine (Wendy) of Los Angeles, CA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A family memorial service will be held in St. John’s Anglican Church on August 28, 2008. Interment to follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery.
