Henry Leo Knorr

Henry was born on the family farm in Korroberts, Saskatchewan to Henry Sr. and Philemina (Winnegar). The family moved to Evergreen, Alberta, then Kelowna where he worked on a seed farm, then at Simpson’s sawmill. He moved to Chase where he worked for the CPR, Mattey Bros, and the Ministry of Highways.

Henry was fire chief in Chase from 1979 to 1985.

In 1955 Henry married Marjorie Hazel Christy who predeceased him in 1987. He is also predeceased by his sister Lavina (Pillott).

Henry is survived by his children Penny (Keith) of Celista, Ken (Dorothy) and Marvin of Chase and Roger (Megan) of Quesnel, as well as his grandchildren Pam (Tyler), Bonnie (Chris), Kaylea, Dale, Barry, Kevin (Cavelle), Dexter, Linden and Cassie. Also survived by great grandchildren Kolton Gage, Garrett and Dominick.

Also survived by his brothers Lawrence (Lil), Anton (Frances), Eugene (Stella) and sister Irene (Jack Welder).

Henry enjoyed gardening, camping, huckleberry picking, fishing and hunting.
