Henry Ward "Hank" Bennett

Henry Ward “Hank” Bennett passed away in Bastion Place at Salmon Arm, BC on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the age of 88 years.

Hank was born at Rocky Mountain House, Alberta on June 14, 1921. He had served during WW II with the Dukes Of Yorks Royal Canadian Hussars from 1942 to 1945. Hank had been a heavy equipment operator working on hydro dams and road construction throughout BC. He enjoyed wood carving, hunting and fishing.

Hank will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jenny McLeod of Chase, Cindy (Les) Taylor of Kamloops, Trudy Bennett of Celista, Allen (Shannon) Bennett of Prince George and Leslie (Sandy) Bennett of Salmon Arm; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Bob (Hazel) and Les (Amelia) both of Sicamous and his special friend, Daryl Chipman.

There will be no formal service.

If so desired, contributions in memory of Hank may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C., Box 1141, Salmon Arm, BC, V1E 4P3.
