Mr. Herschel Glenn (Hersh) Neff passed away suddenly in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the age of 71 years.
A celebration of life service was held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral
Home, Salmon Arm, on Saturday, September 13th, at 11:00 a.m. with Jack Bowers the celebrant. Cremation with interment to follow at a later date. A reception followed in the Mountainside room at Bowers, allowing the family and friends to continue sharing memories of Hersh.
Born in Edgerton, Alberta, Hersh was in electronic sales for years, covering Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He retired some 16 years ago to move to Sicamous, where he quickly fell in love with the beauty and the four different seasons, which he was able to capture on camera. Nature, flowers, gardening and sports were very march part of his life; family was the love of his life. Hersh lived by the Golden Rule; he lived his life by helping others.
He leaves his loving family, wife, Gail; three children, Laura (Angus) MacLellan of Vermillion, AB, Brad of Sherwood Park, AB and Greg of Edmonton, AB; three grandchildren, Andrew, Sean and Paige; mother, Marcella of Wainwright, AB; sisters, Betty (Harold Orom and family) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB and Judy (Clay and family) of St. Albert, AB; and brother, Calvin (Rita and family) of Wainwright.
