It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Howard in Vernon on April 16th,2009, a day before his wife Helen. Howard was born May 15th, 1918 in Innisfail, Alberta where he farmed until 1971, before moving to Armstrong where he worked for Duncan logging and Baird Brothers of Enderby. He was married to wife Helen for 68 years and both spent a lot of time in the outdoors as well as traveling into the USA and Mexico. He wore out three fifth wheel trailers traveling the continent. Howard is predeceased by his daughter Avis Marie (1959) and his brother Walter Green. He is survived by sister Florence Quantz, his children Ed Green (Ilene), Cheryl O’Brien (Kelly), and Teresa Guzzi (Mike), as well as his grandchildren Damon Guzzi, Kody O’Brien and wife Kalena, Kayleen O’Brien, Teanna Guzzi, his great granddaughter Haylee O’Brien, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be laid to rest in Armstrong-Spallumcheen cemetery at a family ceremony. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada, www.parkinson.ca.
