It is with great sadness that we say farewell to a great lady, Janet E. B. Winik. Janet was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on June 6th, 1938 to parents William and Violet Bryson. She will be sadly missed by husband of 52 years, Victor Winik, son Randy (Sherri) Winik, daughters Sandra (Tom) Borstmayer and Cheryl (Jamie) Chan, mother Violet, sisters Linda (Vince) Fiorante, Marcy (Brian) Nast, brother Jim (Alice) Bryson. Janet will be missed also by her eight grandsons, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Janet suffered a massive stroke which hospitalized her, followed by two minor strokes, from which she was unable to recover and slipped away quietly December 25, 2010 with her family at her side. Cremation and funeral service took place on December 31, 2010 at Bowers Funeral Home Chapel, with her ashes to be placed in Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetary, Regina, Saskatchewan in the spring of 2011.
