Jean Annette Roper (nee Jensen), born May 10, 1942 in Vancouver BC passed away on April 17th 2008 at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops BC. Jean is survived by her son Randy Roper, brother Jack Jensen; Step Brothers Ted Deagan and Douglas Deagan; Grandchildren Kelsey, Allison, Tim and Devon and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son David, mother Irene Deagan and father Hans Jensen and Step-Father John Deagan.

Jean grew up and went to school in Hope BC where she made some lifelong friends and after testing the waters of a few communities, she settled on Salmon Arm where she has spent the last 34 years. She loved nothing better than camping and fishing with her family or clever conversation about current events with her many friends at the Royal Canadian Legion where she was an active Associate member. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at Fischer’s Funeral Services in Salmon Arm at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 24, followed by a graveside service in Mt. Ida Cemetery, then a tea social held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #62 in Salmon Arm.
