Mrs. Joan Croft passed away peacefully in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the age of 83 years.
The funeral mass will be held from from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Salmon Arm, on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Father George La Grange, Celebrant.
Pallbearers will be John Steen, Byron Trask, Peter Croft and Breton Trask. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mt. Ida Cemetery.
Born in Glossop, Derbyshire, England on September 23, 1924, Joan was a qualified chef, owning a hotel in England prior to moving to Canada in 1985. She settled in Salmon Arm in 1994 and had resided in Bastion Place for the past eight years. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Alan Croft,
on November 18, 2007.
Joan is survived by her loving and dedicated family; daughter, Maureen (John) Steen of Blind Bay; son, Peter (Dale) Croft of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Kyle Jackson-Croft, Ceri Steen and Adele (Byron) Trask; great grandchildren, Robert, Nicole and Kimberlie Hanna and Breton, Hadrian and Atlyn Trask.
