Judy Ann Barton passed away peacefully at Shuswap Lake General Hospital on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the age of 63 years.

Born in Morrisburg, Ontario on April 27, 1944, Judy had been a resident of the Shuswap since 1992. She had been the proprietor of Amber Lane Fashions for 12 years in Piccadilly Mall. She was known for her unconditional love of her family and friends, her love of gardening and cooking and especially, her trademark prime rib dinner.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Judy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David of Sorrento; children, Marc (Melanie) Price of Kelowna and Monica (Michael) Hammerton of Abbotsford; grandchildren, Stephanie (Melvin) Liu, Megan and Kensey, Paisley and Tristan Hammerton; great-grandson, Nicholas; sisters, Carol (Fred) Brouse and Marilyn (Neil) Coir; and her mother, Donalda Banford.

The family wish to thank their friends for all their wonderful support and the doctors and nurses in both Shuswap Lake General Hospital and the Kelowna Cancer Clinic for their compassionate care.
