June Rosetta Nelson passed away peacefully at Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC, on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the age of 88 years.
June was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan on June 21, 1920 and had been a long-time resident of Salmon Arm. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, driving her Cadillacs, caring for her flowers and exploring the beautiful Shuswap lakes.
June is survived by her three sons, Evan Walters of Nova Scotia, Eric Walters of Clinton and Gordon (Anne) Walters of Arroyo, New Mexico; two grandsons, Russell and Merrick and granddaughters, Brenda Nelson and Keli Kepler; great-grandsons Jake and Cody Epema and Leland Walters; and one brother, Ralph Robbins of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her husband, Lars in 1974.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 2:00 pm at 474 Salmon River Road (red house on the right, 12 kms from the Trans Canada Highway intersection).
