Ken Johnston: husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away after a courageous struggle with pancreatic cancer in Calgary.

Ken was born and raised in Salmon Arm, BC. He first went to school at North Canoe and then later at Salmon Arm Senior High. Ken moved to Alberta where he met his wife Sharon and spent 33 years in the insurance business. Ken was very well respected by his peers who will miss his knowledge and experience. In addition to his family, Ken loved the outdoors, whether fishing, hiking, working in his yard or trying out new barbecue recipes on his deck.

Ken was predeceased by his father, James, of Salmon Arm, and his older brother, Terry, of Prince George.

Ken is survived by his wife Sharon, son Kevin (Victoria), only daughter, Tracy, all of Calgary, and his son Trevor, of Halifax. Ken also leaves to mourn him: his mother, Jean Johnston, his ony sister, Linda (Mervin) Weightman, his niece, Theresa Simpson, nephew Brent (Kelly) Weightman and their families, all of Enderby; his sister-in-law Joyce and her family of Prince George; also many cousins and aunts.

Ken was a very loyal and caring man.

In living memory of Ken, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes, near Ken and Sharon’s home in Calgary.

Memorial tributes may be made directly to Ducks Unlimited.

Ken, may you rest in peace and we will always hold your memory in our hearts.
