Lorne Glen Fandrey

FANDREY, Lorne Glen born in Yorkton, SK on February 5, 1931 passed away September 30, 2008 in Salmon Arm, BC.

Lorne leaves his loving wife of 53 years Emily, daughter Glenda of Toronto, son Tony (Debra), four grandchildren Falon, Laura, Eric and Branden, three great grandsons Landen, Logan and Taven, all of Terrace, BC.

Lorne was predeceased by his son Daniel in 1997, parents Richard & Sophia, two brothers Wilfred and Herbert, sisters Martha, Edna, Leona and Violet.

He worked mainly in sawmills, beginning in Vancouver, then Quesnel and finally Terrace where he retired. Lorne also worked as a millwright and superintendent for all his years. Upon retiring he and Emily moved to the Okanagan and finally settled in Chase, BC. He took pride in all the homes he built during the many moves. Lorne’s enjoyment was his boat, fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Fischer’s Funeral Services with Pastor Norm Russell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lorne’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Box 3451, Salmon Arm, BC, V1E 4S2.
