Long time Salmon Arm resident, Lorraine Turner, passed away July 19, 2008, at the age of 89 years, at the Devonshire Care Home in Edmonton, AB. She was born June 21, 1919, in Dewdney, BC, to pioneer family Alvinia and John McKamey.

She will be lovingly remembered by daughters Alvina Cull and Donna Spanier, grandchildren Tyler Cull and John, Shawn, and Angela Spanier, as well as three great grandchildren. Also missing her unconditional love, caring ways, and wit are numerous McKamey, Turner, and Roy extended family members and many friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, and eight brothers. She also mourned the loss of beloved husband George Turner (Gordie), son Bryan Roy, grandson Corey Ryan Cull, and son-in-law Val Spanier.

Lorraine was a life member of Ladies of the Royal Purple, bowled senior bowling twice a week until she was eighty, and loved dancing whenever she got the chance.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life, August 4, 2008, at 1 pm, at 109 Senior Citizens Centre, 170-5th Ave. S.E., Salmon Arm, BC.
