Margaret (Peggy) Wootten died suddenly in Kelowna General Hospital, Kelowna, BC on March 10, 2008 at the age of 75 years.

The funeral service was held in St. John’s Anglican Church, Salmon Arm, B.C. on Saturday afternoon, March 15th at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Brian Smith officiating. Pallbearers were members of the family, Peter and Kashtin Mair, Lyle Peters, Martin and Cody Wootten.

Cremation followed with internment to take place in her son’s grave in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

Peggy was born in West Bromwich, England on April 22, 1932. With her husband, she came to Canada in 1957. Assisting her husband in becoming an ordained minister, they served in Spirit River, North Battleford, Fort McPherson in the Arctic, Edmonton and Prince Albert prior to retirement in Salmon Arm eight years ago. They continued being active in St. John’s Church in Salmon Arm and the Monte Creek Church. She enjoyed life and taking part in the lives of her family, various sports and community functions.

Peggy was predeceased by her son, Mark and daughter, Susanna. Peggy leaves her loving family, husband of many years, Archdeacon Don; three children, Johanna (Lyle) Peters of Calgary, Elizabeth (Peter) Mair of Salmon Arm, son, Martin (Lori) of Canoe; five grandchildren, Kashtin, Kairo, Cody, Mikayla and Kaehler.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peggy may be made to the St. John’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
