Marion Oberleitner

January 4, 1931 - October 5, 2017

Marion Oberleitner - Born January 4th 1931 in Marlington, Quebec.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Marion, our Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Mom passed away in her home peacefully next to our Dad Tony on October 5th .

Mom was well known in her community as the vibrant companionate lady who took time for everyone. She changed so many lives with her beautiful loving spirit. She gave her all to those who were not easily accepted by society. She treated everyone with dignity, compassion and kindness, making them feel loved and wanted.

Marion had a love for all things in nature. She was an example to her Children and Grandchildren on how to live off the land. Mom along with Dad farmed, hunted, fished, gardened, harvested and processed our food. They were pioneers together. She was infamous for her wine making that was enjoyed at many family events.

Mom had an artistic flare for hosting our elaborate family events that gave us all such great memories. Her legacy lives on in all of us.

Mom was a gifted quilter back when the sewing was done by hand and patterns were drawn with stencils. Many hours were spent at this labor of love. We feel blessed to have these beautiful treasured quilts that wrap us in her love.

Marion is remembered by her husband Tony Oberleitner, Daughter Edie (Simon) Darche and family, Son Eddy (Carmen) and family, Daughter Holly (Cliff) Aschenbrenner and family, Grandchildren Jesse (Allyson), Cody (Mercedes), Amy (Jason), Bayley (Dustin), Curtis (Trish) Kristi (Bryden), Dustin, Dylan, Matthew, Karli, Kailee, Great Grandchildren David, Darrell, Eve, Delilah, Scarlet, Archer, Edward, Gabriella, Daughter In-law Lynn (Dan) and Sister Edith.

Marion was pre-deceased by her Son Darrell Yetter, Parents Ivan and Mabel Wood and several Brothers and Sisters.

Mom's life mission was taking care of the less fortunate therefore in lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to a charity of your choice to pass on the gift of love.

There will be a small family gathering to celebrate Mom's amazing life. God Bless our Rock Star with bling.

A special thank you to Teddy and Nicole for their love and support, and to Officer Ray, Arenand ambulance attendants who were very compassionate in a difficult time.

Thank you to Craig and Bowers Funeral Home for their professionalism and care for Mom and the family.
