It is with great sadness the family of Moe Lyons announce his peaceful passing at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm with his daughters at his side. He will be deeply missed by his eight daughters, Jaye Flack, Ellen (Neil ) Nagel, Gayle (Bob Halliwell), Linda (Howard) McLean, Pat (Jim) MacBeth, Debbi (Bob Schmidt), Cheryl (Bob) Andrusiw and Penny Lyons. He is also survived by his brother, Ken (Helen) and sisters, Grace Geick, Mary (Al) Herbert and Vel (Red) Hull, 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Shirley Pearl in 1979 and his brother, Harry.

Moe had always loved airplanes so he joined the RCAF in 1942 and served his country for 25 years. After retiring in 1967, he moved his family to Kelowna and lived there until 2006, when he relocated to Salmon Arm to spend his remaining years. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Dad will be remembered for his love of his family and friends, his eye for detail when doing auto body work, and the building of his motor homes, but most of all his love of dancing and his quick wit. Also mourning his loss are his many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as dear friends, Jim Henderson, Doris Magus, Tony Krenz, Lyla Hunter and Gladys Harrigan. The Lyons family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at SLGH, the staff at We Care, Community Care and Piccadilly Terrace for the care and compassion shown to our father.

Donations in memory of Moe may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, P.O. Box 1141, Salmon Arm, B.C. V1E 4P3 or the Leukemia Research Fund, 3768 Bathurst St., Suite 311, Downsfield, ON, M3H 3M7.

A service will follow at a later date in Lousana, AB.
