Mike Peter Stushnov passed away peacefully at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the age of 87 years.
Mike was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on August 13, 1921. He moved to Chase in 1946, then to the Salmon Arm area in 1964. He worked as a millwright with Federated Co-Op for 30 years. In his earlier years, Mike enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He had been an avid bowler, curler and sports fan.
Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Winnie; sons, Rod of Surrey and Tom of Salmon Arm. He was predeceased by his son, Danny in June, 2008, five brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm on Friday, August 14th, at 11:00 am, with Jack Bowers officiating.
