Born June 29, 1941, Pat passed away peacefully at his home in Salmon Arm on August 11, 2009.

He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. He was the charter president of the Oroville Jay Cees. He also loved music, has his own band and acted as the lead in many South Okanagan musicals. He was born in Tonasket, Washington, graduated from Oroville High School and did his national service in the U.S. Army, stationed in Hawaii. He was attending Wenatchee Valley College and living with his sister Anne and her family, when his friends told him about this Osoyoos school teacher he should meet.

Pat and Patricia were married five weeks later in the summer of 1965. In 1979, the family moved to Osoyoos, B.C., Canada and on to Salmon Arm in 1988.

Pat will be remembered for his sense of humor, his intelligence and his ability to fix anything. He will be lovingly missed by Patricia, his wife of 44 years and his much loved daughters Megan (China) and Melissa (Salmon Arm) and his adored grandchildren Mikayla (Calgary) and Teston (Salmon Arm). He leaves a sister, Anne (Mike), two brothers Max (Judy) and Kenny (Julie), a brother-in-law Bob (June) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Mike in 1971.

If desired contributions may be made to the Board of Education, School District #83 - Charitable Fund - Library Books for Schools; the Variety Club of B.C. or the B.C. Childrens’ Hospital.

The family wished to thank the staffs of Shuswap Lake Hospital, Salmon Arm Medical Clinic, Community Care and especially Dr. James Levins.
