Peter Federink passed away on January 21, 2009 in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm at the age of 71 years. He was born on the family homestead in fir Mountain, SK the youngest of seven children.

Peter was predeceased by five brothers and is survived by his sister Mary Muntean of New Westminster, BC, children: Larry (Darlene), Joyce (Harold) Penner, Keith (Lisa), Arnie (Brenda); grandchildren: Amanda, Marlin, Amelia, Lawrence, Dana, Aleacia, Jacques, Sidnee, Marlee, Matthew, Andrew and Jared; his close friends: Doug Jones and Connie Chapman as well as numerous other relatives and many close friends.

Peter worked on power lines as part of the ground crew until his retirement. Prior to that, he worked in sawmills, sold Electrolux products and held other miscellaneous jobs. His desire was to one day return to farming.

Peter loved gardening, making fabulous pickles, reading good novels, visiting with friends, fishing and playing Keno. Several well-built houses demonstrated his love for carpentry. He will be remembered as a caring and supportive friend - he assisted many through sicknesses and was always willing to help out where he could.

Grateful thanks to the medical staff at Shuswap Lake General Hospital and the nursing staff at Bastion Place.
