Born to Alex and Marjorie Coutts (nee Coombes) in Dawson Creek, BC.
Richard was schooled in Dawson Creek, worked in Hudson Hope, Prince George and finally Calgary. He travelled Europe and Mexico in his younger years and enjoyed fishing, golf and many outdoor activities. Richard was passionate in his quest for knowledge, and doing all in his power to preserve nature and it’s creatures.
His loss is deeply felt by his sister Peggy Sikora (Rudy), brothers Dennis and Graham, and nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He had numerous friends around the world and will be especially missed by his friends in the Canadian Society of Questers and the Calgary Dowsers.
Assembly and Celebration of Life will be held at 3000 Millrise Point, Legacy Estates, Calgary in the common room on Friday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m.
A second Memorial will be held in Salmon Arm, BC on November 7 at SASCU Recreation Centre, 2550 Trans Canada Highway NE at 11:00 a.m.
