It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Martin Forbes on April 26, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 1st, 1940. He served in the army for 8 years. In 1967, he married Rosie and they moved to Calgary where he was employed by the city of Calgary. In 1979, he moved to Salmon Arm where he started his own company doing house renovations, installing soffits and siding until he retired in 1997. He was a member of the Elks for 34 years and a member of the Legion for 39 years.
He is predeceased by his parents and four brothers. He is survived by his wife Rosie of 49 years; his brother, Percy Forbes of Winnipeg and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He had a good sense of humor. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening. The family would like to thank all the friends for their support. Also, a thank you to Dr. Breugem and the staff of the Shuswap Lake General Hospital for their devoted care.
