Rosemary Allynne Wilson passed away suddenly at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC in the early hours of Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was 71.

Rosemary was born in Abbotsford, BC on February 1, 1946 to James Allyn and Mary Edith Harvey. In 1968 she married Allan Wilson and the couple moved to Allan’s family homestead at Tappen in 1969. Following her mother’s example, Rosemary immersed herself in community affairs and events. She took a lead role in the Tappen Cooperative Association and the Okanagan Historical Society – Salmon Arm Branch and was President for some years.

She was involved with many community groups over the years and, because Rosemary was so passionate about local history, R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum became her second home.

Rosemary leaves her loving family, husband, Allan of Tappen, daughter, Mae (Brent) Dodge of Blind Bay, son, Phillip of Chetwynd, grandsons, Ethan and Isaac Dodge, sister Peggy (Joe) Chute of Lytton.
