RICK, Ruth Louise passed away peacefully, with her husband at her side, at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the age of 90 years.
A prayer service was held from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Salmon Arm on Monday evening March 3, 2008, and the Mass of Christian Burial followed on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am, with Father George LaGrange OMI, Celebrant. Interment followed in Mount Ida Cemetery.
Ruth was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on September 9, 1917. Ruth and her husband, Arnold, retired to the Salmon Arm area in 1980 from Toronto. The couple built a log home where they enjoyed retired life.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Arnold; son, Ron Rick of Salmon Arm; two daughters, Sharon (Andrew) Morgan and Louise Parmenter, both of Toronto, ON; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Oliver of Lloydminster. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Bonnie.
