Sarah Mazel Wolff, a long-time resident of Salmon Arm, died surrounded by family on Saturday, July 10, 2010 after a hard battle against cancer at Shuswap Lake General Hospital.

Sarah was born April 6, 1941, in Hazelton, BC, the daughter of the late Grace and George Sexsmith. Sarah had three siblings, Wallace, Leonard and Howard.

She married Rudiger (Roger) Wolff on August 26, 1961 in Golden, BC. Our mom was a warm and loving person who always made our friends feel welcome. Oma One loved and cherished her time with family and one of her favorite past times, after bowling, was yelling BINGO with her friends.

She is loved and will be missed by brothers, Leonard (Gwen) and Howard (Corene); daughter, Debbie (Greg Shirley) and son, Erwin (Aleksandra Madejski); and granddaughters, Samantha Shirley, Kenya Wolff and Malaya Wolff; as well as many good friends and relatives who will remember her smile and laughter.

A special thank you to the level 2 staff at Shuswap Lake General Hospital for their compassion and care in making Sarah’s painful journey with cancer a comfortable one.

Friends wishing to make contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society ( P.O. Box 3451, Salmon Arm, BC, V1E 4S2) in memory of Sarah would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
