“Shagg” Walter Edward Janzen, on December 7th, 2007, with family by his side, at the age of 66 years.
Shagg was predeceased by his parents Nick and Mary and is survived by his loving family, wife Maxine of 44 years, two sons Dan and Doug (Pat), grandchildren Alli, Cody and Cassidy, two sisters Elfredie (Art) Quapp and Elvira (Mel) Eberwein, brother Nick (Rose), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Shagg was born in Coaldale, Alberta on June 17, 1941. He and Maxine moved from Nanton, AB to Sorrento, BC in the sunny Shuswap in 1979 where they opened Shagg’s Welding.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 1 p.m. from the Sorrento Community Hall with Pastor Norm Russell officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to FISCHER’S FUNERAL SERVICES & CREMATORIUM LTD., Salmon Arm, (250) 833-1129, fischers@sunwave.net.
