Born on November 14, 1914 and survived by his daughters Linda, Jacqui and Terry; their families and his sister Betty. Syd died in Salmon Arm Hospital on November 8, 2008. With thanks to the staff at the palliative care unit for their compassion during his last hours, and to the Piccadilly Centre for their attentive care over his last year. Syd lived and died with strength and courage and will be deeply missed. The family will hold a private service of remembrance.
