It is with great sadness that Vera closed her beautiful brown eyes for the last time on March 9, 2010 in Salmon Arm, BC at the age of 75 with two of her children Gordon and Patti by her side.
Vera resided in Vernon from 1977 until 2006 when she moved to Salmon Arm to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Vera suffered with a number of medical problems and was still able to keep a smile on her face and make people laugh with her sense of humor.
She leaves behind her partner and best friend of 37 years Bob Fearnley, her children Patti (Glen), Gordon (Shelly), Garth (Sandy), Richard (Ruth), Colleen (Larry), Darlene, Patsy, Joe, Billy and Micheal, her grandchildren Samantha, Cameron, Cale, Sydney, Jordan, Alexandra, Shayla, Justin and numerous other grandchildren and her brand new great granddaughter Jada along with numerous brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers that supported and cared for Vera at this challenging time…thanks to Craig, Milly, Sandy, Leslie, Santina, Jennifer, Rob and Mark.
A celebration of Life was held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 at Hillside Village, Good Samaritan Society, South building, 2891 – 15 Ave. NE, Salmon Arm, BC.
