Wilhelm (Bill) Schulenburg

William (Bill) Schulenburg passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2009, in the Kamloops hospital at the age of 95.

Born in Germany, Bill and his family moved to the Adams Lake area in 1954 where Bill started working for the Holding Lumber Company. Beginning at the green chain, he worked his way up to millwright and being in charge of the maintenance personnel at the barker plant until his retirement in 1979. Once retired, he enjoyed working in his workshop, keeping bees, keeping his vegetable garden weed-free, snow birding and visiting his extended family.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Anni, his three children, Inge Anderson of Adams Lake, Gisela Zinner of Edmonton and Wilfried Schulenburg of Adams Lake, as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A memorial service in celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Kamloops Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 364 Fortune Drive, Kamloops on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.

In place of flowers, memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to your favorite charity.
