Protect the health of the vulnerable

Salmon Arm city council supports individuals’ rights to refuse ‘smart meters.’

I am one of many people with a chronic illness, my case diagnosed as MS after first toxoplasmosis, then CFS, then Lyme... These illnesses have so much in common they are difficult to diagnose and are becoming more the norm than the exception. Sick people are already tired and confused, although we are the ones who need to speak out so that others can protect their health.

I have gone to cable Internet – no cordless phone, cell phone for emergencies only, because electromagnetic frequency technology has a direct effect on my nervous system and exhaustion. Please continue to cover this story and encourage our council to place a complete moratorium on smart meters, especially for the children who are even more susceptible to health damage and have no voice.
