The Salmon Arm Silverbacks Atom Development B Team overcame their biggest rivals this season to win their division championship.

In the divisional playoffs this weekend, the Atom B ‘Backs defeated Merritt on Friday afternoon. The team then defeated the Kamloops PeeWee Girls and Revelstoke on Saturday and on Sunday morning they beat Kamloops to make it to the finals.

In their final game the Silverbacks played their biggest rivals, Princeton.

They brought home the win 5-3 with a goal coming from Marcus Nickles and two goals each from Colson Johnston and Tayden Lake. Great goalkeeping was exhibited all weekend by Jeremiah Mast and Jared Heine.

The team is coached by Shane Burden, Chris Harrington, David Dollack and Jim Nickles.
