The Salmon Arm RCMP are telling businesses to be careful at the register.
There is a man – approximate age 30 years, 300 pounds with a shaved head – who has been reported in the Salmon Arm area attempting to trick businesses into giving him more change from a cash resister transaction than is required.
The suspect is possibly driving a green minivan.
Apparently this person will purchase a small item and pay with a small denomination bill and then demand that incorrect change was given to him.
Salmon Arm RCMP are asking all businesses to be aware of this situation and individual and to immediately call the local RCMP detachment if this person appears in your place of business.
