Salmon Arm Savings & Credit Union race déjà vu

Former mayor Marty Bootsma and current mayor Nancy Cooper are candidates in the 2012 election.

While it might look like something of a rematch, it’s a different election altogether.
Former mayor Marty Bootsma and current mayor Nancy Cooper are candidates in the 2012 election for the Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union board of directors.
Cooper is seeking re-election and Bootsma is a newcomer. Also running for the three spots on the nine-member board are incumbent Frank Popien, as well as John Schlosar and Robin Wiens. Longtime director Alice Duck won’t be returning. The results will be announced at the credit union’s annual general meeting, set for Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m. at the Prestige Harbourfront Resort. Members are invited to meet their board, review highlights of 2011 and enjoy coffee, tea and treats.
