Vernon Vipers defenceman Marko Stojkov (middle) has been named to the BCHL's Interior Conference All-Star roster Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024.

The BC Hockey League has announced its initial rosters for the 2025 All-Star game and skills competition, with each team in the league having one skater heading to the game.

The rosters were chosen by a vote with coaches and general managers from all 21 BCHL teams ahead of the All-Star game at Rogers Rink in Salmon Arm on Jan. 18.

Vernon Vipers defenceman Marko Stojkov was selected to the Interior Conference All-Star roster. Stojkov has put in a strong season, scoring three goals and adding nine assists to be the leading scorer among the Vipers' defencemen.

Getting the All-Star nod from the Penticton Vees is the team's captain, Conyr Hellyer, who has amassed 15 points in 18 games so far this season. Hellyer is currently injured, so one of his teammates may take his place at the All-Star game depending on his health.

Jackson Kyrkostas, West Kelowna Warriors' leading scorer (4-18-22 in 23 games) will also play in the All-Star game.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Maddux Martin has made the Interior Conference All-Star roster. Martin is the Silverbacks' top scorer with 11 goals and 20 points in 22 games.

An additional two goaltenders have been selected from each conference, and so Salmon arm has a second player on the Interior Conference's initial roster with goaltender Andrew Ballantyne selected. Ballantyne has a stellar 1.79 goals against average and 0.942 saver percentage in 11 games played this season.

The All-Star game will be a chance for all of the above players, who are normally division rivals, to play together for the Interior Conference all-star team.

The rosters will be rounded out by a fan vote, which the league rolled out Thursday, Nov. 28.

Fans will have until Dec. 4 to vote, and the three players with the most votes will receive the final spots. To vote, visit bchl.ca/fanvote. Only one vote will be counted per day.
