A Revelstoke-based band is becoming somewhat of a 'big dill' on the music scene with the release of the latest single from their debut album that's set to drop in February.
Indie and alt-rock band Pickle Juice describes the new track, Curbstomp, as their "most dynamic yet," which will be available on all major streaming sites on Jan. 10.
"We couldn't be more stoked to share 'Curbstomp' with our fans around the world," the band said in a media release. "It's a song that takes you on a journey of highs and lows – there's so much emotion, energy and heart in it. We truly believe it's our best work yet and can't wait to see how people connect with it."
Comprised of five self-proclaimed ski-bum musicians from Canada, Australia and England, Pickle Juice creates a distinctive sound that blends indie and alt-rock with elements of punk and Brit-pop. Drawing on inspiration from groups like Spacey Jane and Cage the Elephant, the band creates explosive, high-energy tracks with their own unique identity that is "bold, dynamic and unmistakably their own."
Curbstomp, recorded at Echoplant Studios in Vancouver and produced by award-winning engineer David Ziehr, delves into the more introspective side of Pickle Juice's sound, pairing emotive vocals with a groove-driven rhythm that builds to a dynamic chorus that "demands to be felt as much as heard."
Delivering high-energy performances with their signature charisma, Pickle Juice is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music industry and earned them a loyal fan base.
The band will debut Curbstomp at a special release show on Friday, Jan. 10 at The Last Drop Pub in Revelstoke, with local band Public Swim also performing. Tickets are available on Eventbrite, with the show starting at 9 p.m.
